Douglas, AZ -- October 27 (American Patrol) -- The discovery of 26 suspected border intruders by Roger and Don Barnett brought the total above that of last year.

"So far this year we have we have detected and reported 2,212 to the Border Patrol," Roger Barnett said.

And this is a BAD thing????

Don't hold your breath. I've seen this happen before, and dissenters' posts questioning the yanking were themselves sometimes yanked. The inevitable result is a hue and cry from the masses, saying, "If you don't like Jim Robinson's rules go to Democratic Underground! blah blah blah"

Sounds good to me. I'm gonna have to ask my Dad what he thinks about all this, as he lives a couple miles from the border in AZ. I'll tell you, if I had a 22000 ac spread and 2000 folks came across it in a year, I'd be tempted to lay down razor wire and trenches.

American Patrol is running a poll in conjunction with an interview they apparently did with a Cochise County rancher about the chief Border Patrol agent down there. I don't know why American Patrol would not be welcome on FR. They must tick off the RINOs or something. Strange. The poll is on the top of their home page, or a link to it is. The thing looks harmless to me.

"It's almost militialike," Barnette said. "Our concern is for the residents and the people that come into the country illegally, for their safety."

And there's the problem right there. Your concern should be for the residents, ONLY!!!

The people that break our immigration laws, despite our empathy for their very human desire to get a better life, are criminals.

Actually, I don't think they are. So far as I can tell (and I'm not an immigration lawyer), it's not a crime to enter the US illegally (although you are subject to deportation). Only re-entry after deportation is a crime.

It is a crime under Federal Law - See U.S. Code, Title 18, Chapter 12, Sub II, Part VIII, Section 1325:

TITLE 8 > CHAPTER 12 > SUBCHAPTER II > Part VIII > Sec. 1325. - Improper entry by alien

(a) Improper time or place; avoidance of examination or inspection; misrepresentation and concealment of facts

Any alien who

(1)

enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers, or

(2)

eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers, or

(3)

attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact, shall, for the first commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than 6 months, or both, and, for a subsequent commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18, or imprisoned not more than 2 years, or both.

(b) Improper time or place; civil penalties

Any alien who is apprehended while entering (or attempting to enter) the United States at a time or place other than as designated by immigration officers shall be subject to a civil penalty of -

(1)

at least $50 and not more than $250 for each such entry (or attempted entry); or

(2)

twice the amount specified in paragraph (1) in the case of an alien who has been previously subject to a civil penalty under this subsection.

Civil penalties under this subsection are in addition to, and not in lieu of, any criminal or other civil penalties that may be imposed.

(c) Marriage fraud

Any individual who knowingly enters into a marriage for the purpose of evading any provision of the immigration laws shall be imprisoned for not more than 5 years, or fined not more than $250,000, or both.

(d) Immigration-related entrepreneurship fraud

Any individual who knowingly establishes a commercial enterprise for the purpose of evading any provision of the immigration laws shall be imprisoned for not more than 5 years, fined in accordance with title 18, or both

You're right, I'm wrong. (But your citation is off--it's title 8, not title 18. I had checked Title 18, the Federal Criminal Code, and found nothing penalizing a first illegal entry.)

My requests on this thread to the Admin Moderator to provide an explanation for the removal of American Patrol-related threads and the statement that "American Patrol is not welcome on Free Republic" have not been replied to and, in fact, have been removed by the Admin Moderator.

Other posts in this thread have also been removed for unexplained reasons.

What is up at FR Central!!? This just isn't right.

I’ve sent 3 e-mails to the AM, and also have received no reply.

They can not even defend their position.

I'm sure if they do respond, they will say America Patrol is a racist organization.

Censorship reigns on FR. If the article does not tow the RINO line or is not PC, it gets pulled.

Our high taxation tells us that we are paying for border and immigration enforcement. These guys are paying for it too, yet they have to do the job themselves. Most of these articles are so slanted toward the "poor immigrant" that they make me sick. They paint America as the bad guy.

Please everyone, call or write to the President, your Senators, your Representative and your Governor. Enough is enough! These brave Americans are putting their lives on the line to do something the government should have done long ago.
