The Democrats only care about power, I think. Our safety and the good of the country are only of concern to them in so far as they are coincidental with their pursuit of power.

For all who saw the story of the FBI translator on 60 Minutes last night and who have been keeping up with the shenanigans that the Clintons and Democrat Congressmen have been pulling to cripple the FBI and CIA, as well as leftists implanted within the bureaucracy, you will see even more dots to connect as to why Democrats don't want to give Bush the authority he needs over personnel decisions within a new Dept. of Homeland Security. It is not just to protect jobs and the moribound status quo of the leftist government workers union, it is to protect these workers ability to obstruct any effort toward realistic reform in other departments as well. (Such as the INS) These bureaucrats are as selfish and as anti-American as Tom Daschle, Dick Gephardt, Teddy Kennedy, and the myriad other leftists in the U.S. Congress. These workers are part of the plot to change America through stealth and they are just as insidious as Democrats who attempt to steal elections. The Democrats will protect their secret army at any costs. We must do all we can to prevent that.
