I read that the Florida Education Association just put a $1.7 million mortgage on their Tallahassee headquarters so they could take the equity out and use it for political purposes, to defeat Jeb Bush.
Now, how will they repay this loan? Through property taxes, which are paid by all residents of Florida. thus, public funds will be going for political ends, and taxpayers will be making involuntary political contributions to candidates they don't like.
This is similar to my idea last year of suing the NEA for using taxpayer funds for political ends. I didn't know who to send that idea to, so it didn't go anywhere, but this one is even more egregious and deserves to be countered.
Why should the Left be the only ones to use the courts? Do you know any tough-minded conservative groups that might be willing to sue the FEA?
Thanks, I am steaming mad about this---
