Clearly the DFL is in a quandry. While there will be a considerable sympathy vote, a replacemnet like Skip Humphry or Walter Mondull may not bring out the party faithful. The alternative of leaving Wellstone's name on the ballot would likely assure his election, but then the Ventura wildcard comes into play. I'd bet given the chance Jesse Ventura would appoint himself as Senator.
