heartwood: "also did they enter all the license plate numbers of the cars they stopped? yes, because they know they had stopped this car 10 times. so where is the search that pulls up all the plates that show up twice, thrice, five times, ten times?"
-----

THAT was exactly my first thought. In this day and age of computers, you'd think they would compare all the plates that show up, precisely to see if a plate shows up again and again. After the second time the same plate shows up, it should have been checked -- as a huge red flag. Considering the random times and places, it would be highly unlikely for anyone not involved to be in two locations at the same time, never mind 3,4,...10!!!! times. This kind of plate comparison should be totally elementary police work. I can't imagine why they didn't do this -- instead of diligently looking for some "disenchanted white guy" calling them on the phone.

Also, now that we know these were a couple murderous morons with no particular skill at getting away with it, it's a sure bet they were not careful about not being recorded on store parking lot security cams in the commercial strips where they did the shootings. The car should have been on cam at more than one shooting site, which SHOULD have made it a prime target for the dragnet.

Or maybe that was all a show so the public would not realize just how ineffective the cops are. Ya think?
