Russians storm theater Captors were 'liquidated,' officials say By John Daniszewski and David Holley By John Daniszewski and David Holley Los Angeles Times
MOSCOW -- Police commandos armed with sleeping gas and blazing guns stormed a theater here early today and overcame Chechen separatists holding about 700 hostages. Authorities said they were forced to launch the rescue after rebels began to kill captives. The leader of the hostage-takers and around 30 of his companions were "liquidated," officials said. There was still no official word about the toll among the hostages. An Australian diplomat was told that the number was no more than 10, and that none of the estimated 75 foreigners were among the dead. But a police officers said he saw "a lot of corpses."

I guess some of us just get moral brownie points for complaining about it?
We won't talk about hypocrisy today....
"They are now wildly striking out all over the world: the Moscow theater, Bali, the French tanker, and so on. What they aren't able to gauge is that they are establishing themselves as mad dogs that HAVE to be killed, and revealing their *religion* as a demonic dealth cult."
Expect that will be the new definition of Islam in the next edition of Webster's -- as an historic post script.
Save it and stow it. I refuse to have an intellectual conversation when the foundation is already cracked with dishonesty.
Possibly describing Soviet-developed Novichok-33 [*newcomer*] binary nerve gas, or possibly a derivitive, which they've also studied as to its properties when delivered in very small, controlled doses over longer periods of time than are expected under battlefield usage.
I think it would have been a total debacle if it hads happened here. We have so much PC crap that enviromentalists would have complained about the use of sleeping gas.
I was, however, amazed at the photos of the Russian authorities just dragging the dead out onto the sidewalk ... scenes like that would just never have happened here.
You like to do a lot of slogan-laden bitching-and-whining about the status quo, but I have yet to see you suggest even a hint of a proposed solution. Let me guess.... You want us to drastically ramp up our nuclear energy program, right? </sarcasm>
ABC Radio news, or whichever news service it was this morning said the big bomb in the middle of the theater was not detonated, and had it been, everyone would have been killed.
Please do. Gary has given permission.
Let me put it this way---
Firstly, if a fish finds itself bred into a pond that is severly polluted and, against all odds, survives by growing three eyes and two heads---is that fish a "hypocrite" because it survives to complain (justly and righteously) about its pond?
The answer is "no". That fish is a "freedom fighter".
Secondly, "hypocrisy" only became the Sole Deadly Sin, I am reliably informed, in the wake of the kulturkampf of the 60s. There are many worse sins than hypocrisy.
Hypocrisy, as the saying goes, is the compliment that Vice pays to Virtue. Now that Vice has become the norm of society, it no longer feels the urge to acknowledge Virtue--much less pay it a compliment.
Among the "non-hypocrites" of World civilization in the last 100 years are: Adolph Hitler, the Ayatollah Khomeini, The Son of Sam, (John Muhammed will also probably follow in the hallowed footsteps of the non-hypocrites.)
A quote from Milan Rai--"We can no longer perceive the ideas that are shaping our thoughts, as the fish cannot perceive the sea."
Don't hold it against me that I am a two-headed, three-eyed fish who refuses to go belly up....
Not to put too fine a point on it, but your problem right now is that you're criticizing everyone else for partaking in something which you're obviously feasting on too...
and you aren't offering any alternatives or solutions.
This is not bad taking into account the circumstance. This was not a siege of familes suspected of child abuse, but of well armed, well trained fanatics bent on killing the infidels.
More than that it would be NON-STOP media denigration of the Attorney General and POTUS!!
That and much, much more. (Let's talk about the cost of maintaining our nuclear arsenal compared to the cost of containing or jettisoning nuclear waste.)
How is that we have attack submarines powered by nuclear energy, but not communities--even individual homes?
We are a malfunctioning matriarchy, dominated politically by a nervous, anti-rational soccer-mom mentality.
What happened to the"dynamic" of Western civilization? (And I freely admit that I am one of the most vocal critics of that "dynamic' when it destroys beautiful civilizations.) It has sunk into the passive somnolence of the feminist status quo.
But we must have a cohesive, educated CULTURE in order to throw off the shackles of the chaotic, expensive, consolidated, globalist, oligarchic system that now dominates us.
Thank you for your excellent coverage throughout the crisis. Salut and toast.
1. You didn't know that Anne Richards was governor of Texas during Waco, no matter how you try to obfuscate and deny it.
2. You are a hypocrite for attacking the use of oil when you do the exact same thing.
