Guess the Dems felt the need to replace him. Deal with Democrats, you gamble with your life. This election will decide the supreme court. If a democrat is losing, he/she has to be replaced - one way or another.

I guess lib/dems never die, they just get replaced with a more likely to win candidate.

I also wonder if there is such a thing as a 'sympathy vote' for a dead Republican?
