I agree, the publicity/ego issue with these terrorists is not indicative of Islamist terror. However, I heard Mark Furman ask a good question tonight - how do these guys go from robbing a liquor store to cutting a hole in the trunk of their car and going on a terror spree? Didn't they indicate that the killings were about "more than violence?" Given the level of AQ or El Faruq (sp) in the PNW, and the possible connection to Farakhan - I am suspicious regarding their motivations. At this point though, it does not appear that these guys took orders from AQ leadership per se.
