Not to mention..."Gulf War veteran"...
but...don't despair...this really doesn't seem the focus of the news coverage I've seen. Earlier, I very cynically asked my better half for his opinion: "one guess, 'hon'...emphasis on black muslims or Gulf war vets?" Surprisingly, he said "blacks", Muslim or not.
All kinds of opinions out there, clearly, but the Jamaican "quasi-stepson" and the year(s) in Antigua (among other things) make me think this suspect's military background is the least contributory to his problems (or as Rummy said..."You've got to be kidding!")

"Gay drifter" wouldn't be PC either.

(clarification: Mr. 88 is not a "racist"...by "blacks", he meant the "news angle" would be not to "blame" Islam, or U.S. military training for causing the I-95 shooter's actions, but rather the shooter's "disenfranchised status" as an African-American.)

Now I am pi**ed off!!. I, being a former Marine (uh, forget that part - all of us were a little lacking in mental faculties) and a Gulf War vet am quite incensed at the mention of the fact of this guy's Gulf War service - as if that was what wholly defined his nature. As in most of the previous posts, it seems quite apparent that what makes up the man in this case is his Islamic beliefs and his terrorist actions. . Still truckin'
