I would like to take all the Muslims and turn them into Mall-Rat, DVD-Watching, Big Mac-Loving, Starbucks-Sucking atheists. But that ain't gonna happen.

However, you have to give them credit for remembering Greek and Egyptian science for the moronic Christians who deliberately erased it. If they hadn't, the Renaissance would have come much later.

BTW, JQW is wrong about Cromwell and the Catholics. EVERYTHING I've ever read suggests that Cromwell's protestant rule was theocratic and repressive in the extreme. Which is why James II came to power. At which point the bars all re-opened, and the people partied their butts off for years.

Cromwell led the first successful popular reveolution in history and, though a Puritan, was not theocrat. You would do well to read his biography, The Lord Protector, by Antonia Fraser.
