Maryland is where they will be prosecuted

I see no reason why they couldn't also stand trial in the other jurisdictions for the crimes committed there. Maryland shouldn't be allowed to prosecute for the killings in VA and AL -- and if the 17-year old only gets one year in Maryland, he better pray he never gets spotted in (or extradited to) VA or AL, since those crimes will not have been tried yet.

I wonder how many faxes the DNC sent out on this one, so their new mantra is being delivered.

This is planned folks. Time to call it what it is.

It is now nothing more than a Political story revolved around the elections that will have legs for weeks.

The Dems will blame Bush, The repubs, you, me, everyone but the perps.

Please pray for the real victims in this tragedy and their families.

At least the radio station (WTOP) I'm listening to is referring to them by their EVIL three/full names.

That's the cure. Turn off the TV - listen to talk radio and read Free Repbulic. Mike Savage will probably go off in this tonight.

I would not be at all surprised to hear that his (John Muhammad's) father was gay.

I'm listening to WTOP too - but not on the web - unless you are already in town. See you Sat. BTW - I agree that there will be spin on this - but it is getting less and less as ratings go down (at least on Radio). It kills me that the left is now demanding "equal time" because of the high ratings conservative talk shows are getting. They claim it is a 1st Amendment right - yea right - it is a customer oriented business and obviously the customers are happy with the product they are recieving.

Maryland is where the will be prosecuted first, but I can't imagine that the local DAs in the Virginia jurisdictions will pass up a chance to also prosecute.

This morning on WABC radio (I previously thought it was WOR) they were refering to John Muhamad only as John Williams.

Mixer, could I ask you if they were calling him John Allen Williams or just John Williams? It's not a big thing- it just fits into a humorous long time theory I have about the way the media names suspects/criminals they like and the way they name those they don't. I'd appreciate it.

"a less than honorable discharge"

Fox reports that the Army is reporting that he received an "other than honorable" discharge - which is a legitimate type of discharge. Now as knowledgeable as the news media is regarding the media, I can understand how they would come up with "less than honorable" out of the true name.

We don't know if they shared the target practice on the unsuspecting or if only one of these men was the shooter.

I gleaned from the Montgomery, Alabama incident that Malvo was the shooter. Certainly, the state of Maryland has the option of trying Malvo as an adult--he is 17.

Are we certain that the Malvo and Mohammed have any familial relationship or do they just use that in order to get past people? Just how is Malvo Mohammed's stepson? I haven't seen any explanation of this connection, have you? Was this going to be a gay adoption in order to avoid deportation?

Final questions: How were these guys supporting themselves--shoplifting? They were apparently living in the car. How do you think that car smelled?

If I recall they were including the Allen part. Funny thing is that now on my way home they were calling him John Allen Williams and then they said aka John Muhamad. Someone must have called the station ;-)

This morning on WABC radio (I previously thought it was WOR) they were refering to John Muhamad only as John Williams. They would not and did not once call him John Muhamad and they said the name Williams about three times.

A similar thing happened this morning when they interviewed the lawyer (African-American female) for one of the ex-wives of Mr. Mohammad/Williams. The lawyer would only refer to him as "John Allen Williams", or "Mr. Williams". This will no doubt be the same tactic used by the defense lawyers when the perp is on trial.

"You could tell he was scared," Norman said in an interview in Scotlandville, La. "He was very, very quiet. You could tell he didn't like the way he was living."

Miss Cleo? Is that you?

Does he look 17 years old in that picture in the lower left in your post? Lokks more like his early 20s. As of now, no information is available to confirm his age, origins, Muhammed as stepfather, except they did say his high school polic officer was concerned that Malvo has no papers to identify himself. Nothing. I suppose he could be 17, bu this story is yet to unfold.
