I am not so sure on the "just for profit" motive. Let's wait and see. That money could easily have been ear marked for the cause IMHO.

I believe there is a tie ... and I do not believe it is just coincidental or tangential. Just my opinion though.

Here's what I would be saying about this guy ...

"John Muhammad, a long time convert to Islam, a follower of Louis Fara Khan and an individual who vocally approved of 911 was arrested in conjunction with the Beltway Sniper case this morning at a rest stop on I-70 in Maryland."

I had heard that thet had been staying at a Homeless Shelter?? Is that true? They certainly know how to hide, use all available social programs to their advantage. I bet he is a registered Democrat too.

Home many people in a homeless shelter carry ID or are they quizzed by the people that run the shelters about their where abouts?

Nope,it was just greed combined with stupidity. If this had a political agenda,the demand would have been to "provide x million dollars worth of aid to...",or "release the political prisoners from ..."

You may be too young to remember some of the political things done by the Black Panthers from the 60's. One of the things was demanding free groceries be given away in Oakland. I believe the SLA that kidnapped Patty Hearst did this same thing,but they demanded (IIRC!) the Hearst family use their own wealth to provide the groceries. This was political,and it got them a lot of support they wouldn't have gotten if they had demanded "put $50,000 in a trash can on the corner of...."

Face it,anybody with a room temperature IQ KNOWS there is no way to hold a modern country like the US up for ransom,and hope to ever be able to collect the money and live. ANY money paid out is tracable,and you become a target the minute you tell them where to send or pay the money.
