NEW YORK (AP) -- The chairman of the Democratic National Committee said the party would not provide gubernatorial candidate H. Carl McCall with large sums of money unless he closes the double-digit gap in his campaign, a newspaper reported Thursday.

Well, that's a fine 'how do you do'!
McCall needs money to advertise to close the gap, but the DNC won't give him the money unless he closes the gap. Very Clintonian.
Color Carl McCall 'toast'.

Too bad the DemonRatz refuse to link our tax dollars to performance. You can bet your @$$ that if this were a Medicaid unwed mom with 6 or 8 kids by 6 or 8 fathers they would never say "Quit having babies you can't take care of" or some junkie with umpteen trips to rehab faced with jail for crimes would they say "No, you can't use rehab as a way to get out of jail".

Sounds to me like the Dems, again, are the ones about to disenfranchise voters who have voted for Carl in the primary and who support him now. Where's Jesse Jackson at atime like this? People are being denied a viable candidate to vote for! Show them the money, Terry! You're depriving people of their right to vote!

Lost in here is the question of why on earth the RNC would send $1.5M to Pataki when he has a 16 point lead and a 10 to 1 fund-raising advantage already?? Surely there are competitive races elsewhere that could desperately use the $1.5M?

Absolutely correct! (What about failing schools and departments that lose money, and agencies that allow fraud? Let's de-fund them too!) And notice how Terry just sits on "his" money and violates agreements, based on his own personal feelings of how the candidate "should" be acting. This alone should send chills down the backs of all clear-thinking people.

It's very clear that Terry McAuliffe is a racist and this is another example of the DNC playing Jim Crow politics.
That said, this should ensure that McAuliffe will be inducted into the Black Hall of Fame. /rant

Maybe there was an agreement in place that they were honoring. Don't forget that Pataki's early challenger was dirty trickster and meany-mouth Andrew Cuomo before Andy "withdrew" under Clinton "guidance" just prior to the primary.

Terry McAuliffe is the republicans best campaigner the more he spews his hate the worse it gets for the RATS.

My thoughts too.
Memo to Black Americans: Your color is only good for the Rats when they can get something from it. When will you say "Enough!"?......
