When did I miss this? How do we know he has a stolen credit card?
To recap, the sniper left a note saying to deposit $10M into a credit card (how that works I don't know). Police checked it out and the card's stolen.
The police are looking for shell casings at the house in Tacoma. However, its a residential neighborhood so I can't see how he could fire it at the house.

A few hours ago, my theory was that the rifle was converted to shoot .22 rounds, which if in subsonic form, could be fired without much attention. Maybe the owner of the rifle at the time praticed in the back yard this way and the FBI is looking for old bullets in the tree which will have the barrel markings on the bullets. The sniper could now be using the same rifle converted back to .223.
Crazy theory? Maybe not.
