My uncle lives about a mile away from this location in Tacoma. The neighborhood he's in dates back to the 1940's or thereabouts. It used to be a nice tidy area of family homes. In recent years, it's gotten run down, with a higher percentage of rental property, some boarded up windows and remaining elderly people who didn't sell before declining property values sapped their investment. He's never mentioned the backgrounds of people moving in, except for some immigrants he's tried to help who arrived from Cambodia some 20 years back.

I live around the area, in Lakewood. We got plenty of Asian food to choose from. A Thai place to die for (Bai Pho Thai)!

Those Thai soups, put some sort of tree bark in. Connected to the stump? Not sure.
