Just reported that a White Van/box-truck pointed rifle at school bus...

A no BS story:

I had a 1976 blue Chevy van that I wanted to make "Different", so I put lifts in the back, cut a hole out of the hood and attached a functional scoop on it (with a bondo-made sculpture of a decaying human claw attached on top), painted the whole vehicle black, got personalized plates that said "MGADTH", tinted all the windows so dark that they matched the paint, and increased the audio coming from the exhaust pipes.
It turned many heads, and I didn't ever have to worry aboout "Road Rage" -the thing scared the hell out of people!
I named my creation, "Abominog"

It got totaled 3 months later while parked -hit-and-run.

Now, my Wife won't let me get another one now that we have a baby. I wonder why....

Now in Reuters' case it doesn't surprise me that A) they think trucks can point guns, or B) They could't write a sentence that made sense if their profits depended on it, which apparently they don't.

First it's the truck pointing the gun, now it's two guys pointing a gun. That must have been tricky, don't you think, especially if one or both of them were also driving the truck.

Now WTOP reports that Paris Glendening (MD D Governor) wants to call out the National Guard on Election Day

Which will likely result in at least one Guardsman being shot, if the sniper is still at large at that time. Question is, will he let them have live ammo in their guns? Some governors and AGs didn't allow that after 9-11 when the Guard was assigned to airport guard duty.

That aside, I hate to think of armed soldiers at the polling place, like some 3rd world hellhole. Maybe the governor could just call in Jimmy Carter and his minions to monitor the election? Make him wear an electric blue jumpsuit.
