I just read a washington post article that said that the sniper tried to call several times and was blown off. The article stated that FBI trainees were answering phones and that the trainee blew him off. My question is, What the hell is a trainee doing answering the phone?

My question is where did that "fact" come from? Is that what was in the sniper's "letter?" If so, I'll wait to hear that from a credible source.

But as for your thought about the trainees, I can agree with that, if it's true that they were novices.

Money is infinite -- as much as the G-mint wishes to endow it's dear supporters, yes. Nearly bottomless pits of available manpower resources exist by just turning on the White House faucet, yes. Let's use only fully trained, highly paid and comprehensively perked, mulitple-degreed and years of street experienced folks in the hundreds of thousands of positions that just opened up since 9/11.
