Well, IMO, there is no way that this sniper, who has been in such control all along, and been dictating the pase of events would demand that Moose quote a line that was so defeatist. Just doesn't make any sense. I don't see our guy as the defeatist type. Not after what he has accomplished. Not after he delared that he was "god". A "god" doesn't declare defeatism. Just too screwy. It has to be code. It has to me some cryptic message. But to who/whom (too tired to remember which to use)?

Other possibilities. More than one person is communicating/sending messages to the police. Moose mentioned tonight that there have been communication problems because calls have gone in to "other jurisdictions" and he still wants to get the caller on a dedicated 800 number.

Poster Lion's Cub also suggested earlier that the whole multi-day story of Moose, and the notes, and the $10M, is part of an elaborate PsyOps operation. Designed to trick one of the Portland AQ suspects in captivity in to thinking that one of the cell members still at large had gone rogue and was after $, so that the bad guy we have (Osman, connected to Tacoma) would rat him out.
