Ah, Lobbyist, one of Miss Marple's media rules is this:

When the media becomes paternalitstic and withholds information, it is because they don't like the information that they have, and do not want to communicate it to the sweaty masses.

They're usually blabbing, telling all kinds of things they shouldn't. Maybe this time, for the moment at least they are trying to do the right thing. (I hate that. LOL) After all many of them live in the killer's favorite killing ground.
