They lynched whites for being involved in freeing blacks. The Klan and the Islamic radicals have(had) the same goal: terrorism.

PS: The Klan started as a benevolent society (books from the time show the Klan re-building homes for black families whose homes burned), which morphed into a vigilante group because of the lack of post-civil war law enforcement.
The separatist/racist period of the Klan was a tiny amount of time exploited and expanded by the Left.
The whole "atrocities/mistakes/sins-on-both-sides" argument is garbage. The Democrats invented it to deflect condemnation of themselves and Clinton and it has spread like a cancer thru the culture. I expected better from conservatives.
