Try calling the cops in any metropolitan area, and unless you're dialing 911 you're going to get an automated menu. I guess they haven't installed,

"If you're a crazed serial sniper calling to make demands...press 9 now..."

How many more will die because of their incompetence? Geez, it is the American way though these days. I can't call the phone company, Dr.'s office or my bank without having my call routed to a different department only to end up repeating, no less than three times, why I'm making the call in the first place.
