I just got in from a late-night work run and had to post this... I saw an albino deer on Foxhall Road down by Reservoir Rd. I don't know any folklore about albino deer, but it has to be a good omen. If it's not, don't anybody say one word about it! Please leave me to gaze through my rose-colored glasses just this once.

when i was stationed at Ft Pickett in Blackstone VA in the 80s we had white deer,brown deer, cream coloured deer, white deer with brown spots, brown deer with white spots/patches, cream cloured deer with white blazed faces & ONE very large BUCK who was nearly solid white with a LARGE chocolate-brown blaze down his face.

the 1st time i saw him was about 2AM and i thought "you must be dreaming" and/or "boy, you MUST be DRUNK!" (i was NOT drinking at the time.)!

VA TECH had a biologist who visited us and wanted to see the "wierd deer i heard about" (insert un-believing laughter here); we showed him the big buck and what he said was NOT PRINTABLE! but he DID take LOTS of pictures!
