People who live in high crime areas have been adjusted to being unable to really fight back.

If a drive-by shooter was answered with a hail of bullets that turned the vehicle into a collander, there would be darn few drive by shootings.>[?I have stunned some friends by stating that I have no problem with the idea that if the gun control laws didn't exist, every black might have a gun ; and hopefully every white, red, yellow, and brown person too. As I remind people the bad guys are already carrying guns, it is only the good guys who are likely to be arrested solely for being preepared to defend themselves and theirs.

If the people in the vicinity of the sniper were armed ,then they could have long ago stopped him ; instead they can only "run in a zig-zag fashion".

I agree that drive by shooters would soon depart to wherever such monsters spend eternity, if everyone in America were ordered under penalty of law to arm themselves, and firearms and ammo were provided by the government to those who cannot afford them. Imagine the scum of the land in the proccess of an intended drive by shooting, instead having to survive a block long gauntled in a cross fire from irate and armed citizens? Gotta love it!

I am not as sure that the sniper viper would be history yet. The cowards coward who fires from cover upon innocent victims is harder to present with the desserts so richly deserved, but I believe the likelyhood of him dying of old age, while pampered in prison, even after capture and conviction, would be greatly reduced.
