That's a very interesting observation.
I don't think Iraq has any diplomatic representation in Washington any longer. I think their only diplomats in this country are with the U.N. in NYC. I wonder if somebody in that embassy has been able to transmit texts to the sniper. I wonder if the U.S. government knows who is the station chief of the Iraqi intelligence service in that embassy. It might be fruitful to tail him. If the reports are true that some of the sniper's communications have been in German, it would also be useful to know if any of the diplomats in that embassy have spent time in a German-speaking country.
