"Soft National Underbelly".

Yes, and we knew it from the day and even before when that nutjob hijacked a loaded junior high school bus in rural Pennsylvania and drove it down to Maryland a few months back.

Some of this said this could be alQaida or, if not, certainly something they would do to freak us out within our own borders (they have been planning this; documents have been seized in Ghost, Afghanistan).

Other Freepers really shot down that idea as alarmist and over reacting. Not, perhaps, knowing how truly traumatic it could be for terrorists to mess with American kids, knowing what a society we have with a soft spot in it's heart for the little ones.

The soft national underbelly.

Time to respond with Nerves of Iron.

Eagles Up!

Yeh, "the heart of America".

If this is the work of Al Qaeda or Muslim terrorists, I think the sniper shootings may be a diversionary tactic. Draw all the local and federal authorities to concentrate on the sniper shootings, while the other terrorists are preparing for the "big event."

This shooting could also be a test run for the Christmas shopping season with teams in a dozen or more cities ready to go. Unfortunately we are failing the test so far.
