While I enjoy, and even foster humor at many absurd occurences, I don't believe this was the time for that.
This statement would not have been made unless there was a behind the scenes, acknowledgement that there was something else wicked coming.

I concur. I personally felt the threat level has been increased substantially by the sniper.
Does anyone else feel than Chief Moose seemed almost afraid? Like maybe the threat was far greater than one person each time? That was just my gut feeling after this last news conference.

We've had some comedic fun at other times, but this is cynicism, for this statement about "children" is simply a ploy by the bastard shooter who is playing the "professionals" like a violin.
A child has already been shot, along with men and women of diverse backgrounds.
This statement about children and their safety is absurd on its face.
Now only children are in the cross hairs?
What about Grandpa and Granma, Uncles and Aunties, brothers and sisters, older sons and daughters (or were these covered by this "children" statement?), cousins, neighbors, etc.,etc.?
Moose is only showing this sombitch shooter how many buttons that are available to be pushed.
And push he (the shooter) does with impunity.
This is a damned side/freak show and the magnitude of press is the bellwether.
This guy Moose was whining and bitching about the bobble heads who wanted face time on the screen and what does he turn around and do himself?
Consistent legwork, time and luck will hopefully resolve this sooner than later, but not this TV drama mentality...
