Well, as long as we're into wild-assed generalizations...
Time for some brutal truths. Fact is, men have always been expected to be the major providers. From the dawn of the species, the men have been the hunters organizing complex team activities, in order to slay the mastodons, aardvarks and whatever.
Meanwhile, the women have been the gatherers, yakking about how Florence doesn't seem to be picking very much lice out of the others' furs lately, and screaming at the kids to stay away from the vipers and cobras in the bushes.
Cut to 20 thousand years hence and you have a society in which the most strenuous he-man exercise is to heft that 30-gallon Husky trash bag over the dumpster picket fence, in which women think they can do anything these wimpy little men can.
But women really don't understand teams well, because they never did understand the concept of heirarchy, orders and not whining and screwing their way into choice positions and power. It was "UNDERSTOOD". A woman could kick Caesar's ass from one end of the other of the household, but when it came time for Caesar to build a road or wipe out a neigboring civilization..it was his to organize, assemble and command, not his wife's...or his girlfriend's.
But then women got the idea that "Hey, we can push this button and kill a whole buncha people just as easy as men can", and things have never been the same. But what they forgits, is that they can wear pants, they can chew, they can blow their nose on the street with one finger upside the nose, but they still can't, and won't ever understand a man's team spirit of creation. And I don't mean that in the religious sense - although it can fit both Christianity and the Yin & Yang concepts in one git-go. Women aren't built that way. They are designed to use men as their manipulations to power. You may not like it - I may not like it. And we can all file suit behind the male Black Widows, the Lionesses, and the Crocodile Child Protection Services, but it ain't gonna change just because you're in your later years, and the way The Game goes - your powers are waning.
You've managed to summarize quite well what I have observed for years.
An observation I have made over the years: generally speaking, males tend to cooperate well to accomplish a goal. Four males living together can exist by compromising where necessary; they understand that some difficulties will exist for the group and will bend over backwards to make things work. Once you start adding females into the mix, however, then it is only a matter of time before the group shatters -sometimes violently.
