We certainly could not be responding on this thread because we actually WANT to find a good woman to bring happiness and fulfilment in out lives.

Reassuring each other that women are untrustworthy and the system is rigged and men are victims is going to help you find the "good woman" you've already decided doesn't exist?
Good luck!

Consider the divorce system is set up under the law with the view that women are victims in a divorce. (Whatever historic reasons that may or may not exist now) It has gone from attempt to be solomon and divide the baby in halve to using a food processor to process all parties. In divorce the only winners are the lawyers. In a case with assets or a children, If you are lucky the retainer will be $3000.00. Then if the case settles the lawyer will file all the standard papers to justify the retainer. (secret, even if non-refundable, a lawyer is not able to retain a retainer for work not done) In divorce cases no one leaves with everything they want.

Whatever we may complaing and point out this now long thread has one thing for certain. The benefits of marriage are tempered by the growing risks of divorce. Infidelity is irrelivant, commitment is irrelivant, duty is irrelivant, patience is irrelivant, abuse is irrelivant. Don't feeeeeel like being married? thats relevant.

(note: abusive situation is not adressed as that is a whole different issue)

'Reassuring" is NOT what we are doing! In case you missed My previous comment, I am not some starry-eyed -or cynical- youngster enguaging in some manner of fraternal bewailment session. I am well past the twenty-something mark, and I find Myself in total agreement with many of the opinions posted here. By far the majority of us are remembering past experiences that put us in the mindset we are now, not spouting delusional fantasies about how women are generally so evil. These are what have actually happened either to ourselves or someone we knew.
