I have several friends my age (late 30s) who bought their houses while they were single guys. Now they are divorcing, and keeping their houses.

You would not believe the sheer venom dripping from some women's voices when I mention this fact to them. Their attitude is "How dare he own a house before he even meets them, then have the gall to keep it after their short-lived marriage!"

Sheer venom is an understatement. The first thing a modern woman does is try to get the man to sell the premarital home. (the new home becomes marital property) This tip is included in a marriage and divorce guide for women.

Men buy the house you like first. Do not move into a faddish homeowners association (whole other thread and legal headaches) That home is a man's security.

In equitable distribution states the rules are as follows: The home is his, she is entitled only to one half of the increase in value. He can argue an absence of contribution if the marrigage is short or the woman made no significant contribution.

As for those women who think men want a idiot woman who stays home and is uneducated you are 100% wrong. Men do not want to suffer the presence of a foolish woman. Modern women talk a lot but do not know what they want. Those men with the presence of mind to buy their home to protect themselves so they CAN QUEST for their Mrs. are wise and the modern woman would be wise to consder any man with such forsight. (I wonder what forsight such a man would have to protect HIS children? hmmmmm)

forgot one point. Those type of women are under the mistaken impression their p***y is made of gold. They were never intersted in marriage (if they even knew what it meant). The were interested in a finacial transaction, selling their sexual companionship for financial gain. Hmmm what was that called......
