Already discussed and agree. Add a physical stamina, strength endurance test for all applicants and then open 'er up.

I'm with you all the way on this one Jeff.
I'd include in the list of necessary armaments a good 12 gauge auto loaded with "00"'s for close and personal wet work.

It's ironical that the serial sniper is dividing this country along the lines of those who are in favor of gun possession according to the mandates of the Constitution and those who would confiscate all guns.
The latter group wouldn't know what to do with a gun if you put it in their hands, therefore, they're scared to think about having to use one.

Guns in the household should become as familiar as the lawnmower or the crock pot.
Everyone in the family should learn to shoot as soon as possible.

Folks, this country was built on God, guts and guns!
Leave out anyone of those and we're doomed as a nation.

Jeff I don't see this happening with federal approval at all. They would go house to house disarming us before they would see us armed and patrolling our own neighborhoods as civilians.

I can see this happening only with local support against the fedgov and most state capitols.

I can see folks taking this in their own hands despite the warnings against it by Washinton and most state capitols. People will, for example, carry their rifle and a copy of their DD-214 military discharge papers, or a letter from a local sherrif.

The state govts and Washington will only "approve" such a plan after it is already in effect from the grass roots up, running to get in front of the crowd to retain the mantle of leadership over an already popular program they too long resisted.
