Just another LIEberman waffle!! Remember all the position changes he went through for Gore?
Lieberman is one of the more conservative democrats, although he IS still a democrat. He left behind his principles to team with Gore, and I daresay he got burnt for it. This is total and complete supposition, but perhaps he promised to tow the party line for the election and then got caught in a trap of backing stuff he really didn't agree with.
Now he sees his opportunity, he is the only "different" Demo in the field. The rest are liberal messes. My guess is he won't make that mistake again. Of course, this is just my personal thoughts. He is carving himself out of the field distinctively, and he is seeing it is going to work much better for him than molding his views to fit that of the "tree".
Exactly. Ever since the Bush tax cut, Lieberman has said we could not afford it. Quite often the Dems craft tax cuts in a way that do not revive the economy. Maybe for starters he and the other Dems could act to make the tax cuts permanent then state which new tax cuts they would initiate.
