Looking at the helicopter shots of the scene. There are woods all along the street on the side where the Ride On bus is stopped. I note that there is an almost V-shaped crease in the woods right where the bus is, leaving plenty of open space between the bus and the recessed part of the woods. There is also some sort of larger open space behind the crease--a basketball court and playground.

Geez. There is too much ground to cover and check cars at the same time. BTW I lived in Old Town until June and shopped frequently at the Home Depot, Frugal Fannies (when it was still operating) and the Barnes & Noble where the FBI employee was shot. My friends live across Rt. 7. It has been creepy watching the news.
