Truely sad. I remember, as a kid in the 60s, going out on Halloween, covering 20-30 city blocks trick or treating. No parents in sight. Having a blast. Would fill a grocery sack full of candy. No fear of anything. What I would give to let my kids live in that type of environment.

Did the same thing in the suburbs of Detroit. Even went home to unload once, cause it got too heavy...

Those were the days. And I remember, there would be hundreds and hundreds of kids out. You couldn't stir them with a stick there were so many. And you never feared home made candy, caramel apples, popcorn balls. Now, you can't even trust store bought candy. We never considered having our candy X-rayed. Now you feel reckless not doing so.
