My husband and I collect guns (70 so far). I'm partial to shotguns and nice looking rifles (like 1885 model Browning single shot, octaganol barrel with peep site). He likes high performance rifles and handguns. Of all his handguns, my favorite is the 480 Rueger - it pure hurts your hand to fire it. Needless-to-say, I feel extremely safe even when I'm home alone.
Maybe I should have preceeded this post with a 'redneck alert'.
My dad is the real collector, but I've got my share, too! I've shot enough different rifles, carbines, and handguns to know what feels right in my grip, what I can fire without injury to my hand or shoulder, and with what I can be most efficient and accurate.
Thanks for sharing! It is good for women like us to be armed and confident in any and all areas and situations.
