noone knows who's family member, friend, was hurt/killed, and there is a frantic calling around to see if everyone is safe.

I can appreciate that - we used to live in Silver Spring, and we still have family and friends there.

Everyone is safe, as far as we know, and all we can do is to leave it in God's hands and go from there. Otherwise, we'd all be going nuts.

I have one relative, with a family of 5, living in DC area, plus have 4 single friends who are scattered out in that general area. They say it helps when the news casters tell them the age, sex, of the victim. That way they can prioritize their phone calls. Got to have some tea. brb.
