"So did we. Usually we buy candy and hide it all over the apartment. Then we turn the kids loose with buckets to go find the candy.GOOD idea mhking! I like it! So many parents drive their kids from house to house and it just puts more cars on the Trick or Treat path....last time we took the grandson out (a few years ago), I saw a very unhealthy mix of small kids on foot and cars all over, backing up and/or turning around in driveways, in the dark...NOT GOOD.

We let the kids go around the neighborhood than we load them and their pals into the minivan and it's off to the rich neighborhoods to get the full-size candy bars!

Is anyone getting concerned that, once the government starts requiring/subsidizing/guaranteeing "terrorism insurance" that every significant crime in the country is going to be dragged through the courts as a terrorist event by a new cadre of bloodsucking legal specialists?
Second, I keep hearing that the latest killing continues the observed "random selection" of victims. Now its possible that the shooter lurked in the woods after casing the bus stop, expecting that riders would show up. But the victim was a driver, on a bus on a schedule, on a scheduled layover. Of all the victims so far, this one COULD have been singled out in advance. Lets' not embrace "random" so quickly.
