Someone would see him going through a sewer.. I tell you, I believe he is walking away. He may be dressed like someone not threatening... police? Man of the cloth? Local yokel?
I did notice that they were showing the cars being searched on FOX and they were not looking under the hoods or under the car. If I was trying to hide a weapon.. I would not have it laying out where they could see it with a search. You would hide it either in a built-in hiding spot, or under the hood or under the car, if he is in a car. I bet he is on foot, with a bag of newspapers or a briefcase with business attire on, or some other kind of costume.

Hmmmm.... Your post made me think of a possibility. Suppose he is dressed as a priest - all he has to do is strap the gun behind at his waist and walk into a sidewalk area and walk somewhere, possibly a church where he could take off the stuff and exit as a man with an instrument case.
