I am back to terrorism, and urge people o stock up on basic supplies in case we are confined to our homes.

Confined to our homes?

Look, we have undertaken a "War on Terror." We had damned well better be prepared to do battle with terrorists.

If we are being attacked by random snipers, bombers, etc., we can never accept being "confined" to our homes. Rather, we should undertake the responsibility to hunt down terrorists and secure our communities. If we meekly accept being "confined to our homes" we will have lost any semblance of the American spirit.

I am speaking of QUARANTINE, as in smallpox or ebola. Get a grip!

Plus, if there are snipers all over the country, I intend to be a target as few times as possible. Call me crazy, but I want to see my daughter's wedding.

You will note I also said FIREARMS. I do not intend to go down without a fight. However, if smallpox hits I am not going to be waltzing to the supermarket!

You macho guys are too quick to assume that the rest of us are cowering in the corner. Please! I lived through the Cold War, the riots of the 60's, and Jimmy Carter's horrible presidency! I am fairly tough and am not giving in.

HOWEVER, a good strategist plans for ALL contingencies.

I, for one, feel quite comfortable with the idea of young mothers, their babies, the elderly, etc. staying in their homes, while the able-bodies youts and men go forth to deal with terrrorists, do the marketing, man the gas stations, etc...

But, that is just me, and I think all should take Miss Marple's advice and be prepared. We also should check with our neighbors and froends, maybe via our churches, and offer to help those who are not properly able to leave their homes, should that time ever come!
