As another poster said, Fox just did mention Moose's remarks in the context we are discussing, but have cut out for a Rummy conference right now.

I am guessing, specualting, that he was instructed to do this, and to do it in this way, so that only those people "quick" enough to pick up the code would "get" what he was talking about. I now think the government has pretty well concluded that is is ME terrorism plain and simple, and needs to bring the public along slowly, so as not to have a sudden panic.

By letting us figure it out over a long period of time, we can be brought up to "temperature" slowly, and then we won't "jump" out of the pot in hysteria.

But, maybe it is just my imagination, who knows!
