It'll never happen, but it's past time for the governors of Virginia and Maryland (both democrats BTW) to call up the citizen militia. I know Virginia has a provision for this, but am not sure about Maryland.

< "Your speculation has been, very poor, at best."

You would be a great boss to work for-- no results, erroneous communication w/ interested parties and improperly leaked evidence that continues to jeopardize public safety... and you maintain criticism isn't warranted. The fact that still today more civilians are at risk for being shot speaks to the validity of questioning their judgement and competence.

It must be nice to be so Pollyannaish regarding the events in our capital, but then again you don't have to live with the constant threat of being the target of a sniper every day. Frankly, Reagan Man, your judgement and analysis stink regarding this whole ordeal.

I understand you're scared. That's a normal human reaction. But I don't believe in jumping to rash conclusions like you do. And my analysis was about your irrational level of contempt for police efforts in this very unique set of circumstances. You have every right to speak your mind, just don't expect to be taken seriously by me, if you continue with such emotional responses.

RE POST#26: I agree with you. It is not uncommon for the bad guy to send dumb-as-doorpost-stooges-who-will-do-anything-for-money into a potential hot area to see what happens.

R.M.< "I understand you're scared. That's a normal human reaction. But I don't believe in jumping to rash conclusions like you do."

Like you (Colorado), I have the luxury of looking in from the outside since I don't live near the area of the attacks. But you already know my response was not one of fear, frustration maybe. It is healthy to question the course of the investigation. You derisively refer to this questioning as Monday morning quarterbacking. Fine with me. Every facet of our society would not have progressed into the greatest civilization this planet has ever known if Americans didn't have the highest expectations for efficiently reaching the optimal solution to the problems inherent with the freedoms we enjoy.

I haven't reverted to using derision. It's you who has ridiculed and scorned local police efforts and specifically Chief Moose. You've clearly shown a significant level of contempt towards the law enforcement jurisdictions involved.

As American's, we all have certain expectations. Many of us strive to be the best we can be. However, I try not to confuse expectations with perfection. There is nothing perfect in this world and that includes local law enforcement officials.

It appears that I wasn't as wrong as you thought. Now that the facts are coming in, we find that this is not the "normal serial killer" white male in his 20's and 30's, and they are Al Queda sympathisers....may as well have been in the group.
ALSO NOW Known is that these two stayed in same motel viewing the phone booth where the two illegal aliens were caught IN A WHITE VAN WITH ROOF RACK like they were looking for, so how do you know they didn't know each other? There is more to this case than will ever be known through the media!!
As for teaching your children, if they are like you I doubt they are teachable!

THANK YOU SO MUCH! You captured my thoughts exactly and clarified what I guess I had hastily typed. Glad to see someone intelligent reading my posts.
I think there is more yet to be learned about this case, although I am glad they caught the two (supposedly operating on their own) involved. I am not yet convinced they are the only ones involved.
As for all those white vans and white box truck....I don't think those people were crazy, or just confused either.
I don't think Malvo and Mohammed only kept to themselves. It goes against the grain of what their personalities are described as being by those who knew them.
MAYBE, AND ONLY MAYBE, They could have used those illegal aliens who were deported without them knowing what was actually going on.

Wake up call, Grandpa Dave! Just got your post. Do you feel incredibly naive now? While you & your fellow armchair detectives were carping, law enforcement was working. MOOSE RULZ!!! He did everything right all along, & I am so STOKED that it makes you & all your silly journalist friends crazy that the guys with badges were doing their jobs behind the scene without your "help".Praise God.

No leilani, I don't feel naive. You just keep on smoking the opium of the masses, Political Correctness.

Be careful of the overdoses of Political Correctness, they can be very harmful.
