The emphasis in Kodak's "Mission" Statement is mine. ************************************** http://kodak.com/US/en/corp/careers/why/valuesmission.jhtml All of us at Kodak work from a set of core values, and we're proud to say that our resulting personal conduct allows for an environment that is free from inappropriate pressures and diversions. We show respect for the dignity of the individual. And in the process, we value and champion our human differences. This helps us maintain the diversity of our workforce. We uphold uncompromising integrity. We demonstrate honest, ethical behavior in all transactions, placing the success of our business and its people ahead of any personal gain. We give and receive unquestionable trust. We work in an environment in which we can trust one another and share information freely, thereby doing our jobs to the very best of our abilities. We prove and maintain constant credibility. By consistently delivering on our commitments (and even admitting to the occasional mistake), we earn the credibility of those around us. ********************************************** http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/printer-friendly.asp?ARTICLE_ID=29394 ….“Officials admit to getting some e-mails and calls about the termination, most of which are sympathetic toward Szabo. And while Kodak won't comment now on the potential of any lawsuit, it doesn't appear overly concerned about the possibility of a consumer boycott. "Any situation that casts a cloud over any large corporation, the first thing people think of doing is stopping buying products," Blamphin (Jim Blamphin, Kodak's manager of corporate media relations) said. "On any given day, there are over 1,000 boycotts against American products. ... You can't name any, I can't name any."

As a Kodak Employee, I am as "Discusted and Offended" as Mr. Szabo, with Kodak's "Diversity" policies. I am so utterly sick of hearing about Diversity. Personally, I could care less if someone is Homosexual... but WHY should it ever be discused at work... I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO HEAR ABOUT IT! And that's the bottom line. This is not about a diverse work force... this about a company policy that openly encourages the discussion of sex between men, yet would have me fired for sexual harrasement for openly discussing sex with a woman.

Now then, for those of you who think the solution to the problem is to attack Kodak products or boycott Kodak, and support Japan... You're not helping the Kodak Employees one bit... "If Kodak goes under then that will show them"... well guess what, while Fuji employs 1,200, Kodak employs over 35,000 in the US alone. And 90% of them don't agree with this policy, so who are you hurting, Dan Carp? What does he care, he's a millionaire. No, you hurt us working shmucks who are trying to fight this... AND keep their jobs. What we want is for upper management to be accountable, and Szabo's law suit will do that. But if you're going to help me by elliminating my job... No Thank You, I'll take my chances with the homos.

You make a very good point and the object should not be to punish Kodak employees for the off-base policies of their management.

However, something has to be done to get the message across that this stuff has got to stop. I'm not sure Mr. Szabo's lawsuit will do it in and of itself. I'm happy to hear any suggestions as to what we can do to fight this without endangering your job and those of other Kodak employees.
