I didn't follow anybody's 'rules' but my own. Mrs. O'Dell 'followed' the state rules (sent in an enrollment notification) and she got shafted. I don't 'enroll' with the state's home study program. Whatever happened to 'equal protection under the law'?
My children are succeeding because I told the local school and the VT DOE to take their rules and shove them. I told them I intend to exercise my constitutional right to home educate my children without their interference. They did sent truancy papers ONCE and I told them they could put them in that dark place with their other rules.
Mrs. O'Dell finally stood up and told the VT DOE she intended to exercise her constitutional rights as well. After years of taking their abuse and their neglecting the education of her children she had had enough. When she shut off the cash flow to the schools (over $20,000.00 budget & Medicaid funding) that is when they decided to make an example of her and moved in--no search warrant, no Miranda rights, no due process, no regard for the Vermont or U.S. Constitutions.
And that as they say, is that!
No your children are "suceeding" because you say they are. If your evaluation of their education is anything like your evaluation of Ms. Wade, it is suspect.
No, that's not me or Chancellor Palpatine or justshutupandtakeit. It's Cindy Wade!
Cindy Wade says the VT. homeschool laws are just fine.
You better start adhering to them if you live in that state. Ms. Wade is about to embark on a scorched earth campaign it seems. All homeschoolers who are not on the DOE radar now, soon will be. The lying wench is about to take everybody down with her and Ms. O'Dell.
Once she starts, all VT. homeschoolers will probably be be re-evaluated and interferred with. You be sure to send thanks to this selfish so-called advocate.
