Don't bother. He feels so brave and powerful at his keyboard. Let him enjoy it... :o)

Yup, you're a manly man, alright. Only weenies change their habits because there's a guy taking random potshots in your vicinity. I suggest you back off the steroids: your keyboard's bound to break, and apparently they also make you say silly things.
I am suprised that you, with those limp wrists and lack of spine, can even find a way to be propped up in front of a keyboard.
Seriously, what good does being terrorized do? You embolden the terrorist and encourage them to do it more. Live your life and give the finger to those who would take your liberty!

Whoever has been doing all this is very sharp and clever... So far he's been able to outsmart Moose. That doesn't quite qualify him as "very sharp."

Funny, but I was thinking the same thing.

Twice, he's not a good shot. Not knowing a lot about shooting over a distance--could it be that the "sniper" practiced shooting at targets on level ground, and the low "misses" are when he (or she) is shooting from a hill or raised area ?

One hours notice for an impromptu news conference makes plenty of sense. What are you talking about?
im·promp·tu Pronunciation Key (m-prmpt, -ty) adj.
Prompted by the occasion rather than being planned in advance: an impromptu party.

That flag was definitely Mexican. I have a neighbor across the street with a Mexican flag on their car, I am used to seeing it, my brother in law is Mexican and he has the same flag as well. It may be possible that this vehicle had that sticker on it when it was purchased, I would believe that this person has not owned the vehicle that long, because it has a 30 day tag. This flag could have been on the vehicle when it was purchased.

I thought Chief Moose sounded like his response would be issued today ... this entire situation is bizarre.

...The PR chick was just on and said there will be no scheduled press briefing, but would give an hour's notice for an impromptu press conference! A one hour's notice for an impromptu news conference? ...In other words, they arrested a drunk mexican plumber along with his cousin who was helping out this week, and they have got to figure out the best way to explain it. They have nothing to do with the sniper. Just my theory.

I have been trying to corroborate the...
"two men parked in a van in a school parking lot and the mom showed up to drop the kids off, saw the van, freaked out and called 9-11"
story for the past two hours with no success. I think this is a BS story at this point.

very possible ... when shooting below - aim higher; when shooting above - aim lower.

Wasn't there a report for a search of a Van having Temporary tags during an earlier shooting?
To: twyn1; Taliesan
Another possibility is more than one shooter and Sat. nite was "training day". Recall that in the past shooter doesn't work Saturdays.

Since they were shut down last night, before the police were called about the van this morning that wouldn't be the case. You must have some info I don't then. My understanding of the situation is that Moose's message had to do with a pre-arranged meeting with one of the perps. If you're talking about the soccer Mom story, I'm not aware that it's been confirmed and I take it that it's some unfounded rumor. Do you actually believe the arrest this morning was a coincidence? After that news conference yesterday????

I wish your attitude was infectious.
The most infuriating behavior, from a terrorist's point of view, is to see people going about their normal business, oblivious to his/her threats. It completely neuters the whole power trip thing which they thrive on.
Of course, the naysayers on this board will not call it cowardice nor being frightened. No, "prudence" or "being careful" will be the euphemisms.
You're right. We're all in the front line now.

I bet they are in contact with the sniper again..

Re: Van seen at school -- this is an interesting angle...I am wondering how so many cops were there to converge on the van in the Exxon station so quickly ?

Seriously, what good does being terrorized do? Seriously, how impressive is it for you to be saying these things all the way from Florida?
