We're home (finally) and I'm dying to spend some time with y'all. I also need to finish e-mailing our fabulous troops.

hehe Kathy, no fireworks just yet. The computer's fine now but I still haven't gotten to do anything on it. I don't have my stuff set up yet and am waiting for my hubby to sit down with me to coach me. If I disappear for a day or two, you'll know I'm feverishly trying to learn and experiment with it so I can hit the Canteen on it with a 'Bang!' LOL!

Watching the Vikings play their real game on television was something like this. Picture four colossal, powerful men dressed in purple football gear. They huddle together, waiting for the next play and take a few deep breaths, the frosty mist visible upon exhalation. Icicles have formed on their beards and mustaches. Seeing that the offensive line is nearly ready, they split up to take their positions. Their last words before they part are "Meet at the quarterback!"

I love hearing that you feel the Canteen is like home. That's what Snow Bunny wanted for our troops and we do our best to keep that feeling alive for you all.
If you rummage around the Canteen kitchen, I'll bet there's some junk food in the cupboards. I believe Snow Bunny and the gang keep goodies to satisfy anybody's cravings.

My friend spent HOURS yesterday and into the night working on our 'toy'. He's not really experienced with WindowsXP and it was an education for him. He had a ball doing it and the computer is healthy again.

Now if I can only learn how to use it. LOL!!!

I know you won't be awake a whole lot longer and I'm writing to the troops. In case I'm too slow at it, I'll thank you now for the mailbox and the fireplace you brought to the Canteen today. You make every day like Christmas...I wake up each day wondering what 'pretty' I'll see here.
