,,, good [Tuesday] morning from Wellington, New Zealand. What a lovely surprise to find the Kiwi flag and Shaggy Eel in an international lineup on your welcome thread!

In truth, the photos on my homepage aren't me at all. They're two obnoxious shots scanned from adverts in magazines - the top one is from a FLEETLEASE advert; the bottom one from an AMERICAN EXPRESS campaign. Here's a cartoon of me and my FReeper wife, Calvert Cliffs Cafe in our Morgan 4/4. We live 50km north of New Zealand's capital city, Wellington - on the Kapiti Coast. I check into FR each weekday but don't often get near a computer on the weekends. My wife is more pushed for time, so she doesn't get here too often.

Best wishes from us both!

It is always fun to see you shaggy eel. Thanks for clearing up about your profile page. You look even better in the graphic you posted today...And I urge everyone to check your Profile Page regularly as it changes with the seasons....i.e. in July, you had a snow scene in NZ.

Thanks so much for dropping in and saying hi to us...

From what I have been reading on the Internet, New Zealand has some pretty good food. They even have foodie weekends at country resorts. And they produce some pretty good wines, too.

They do the tea thing with scones etc and serve lots of lamb dishes (lotsa sheep in NZ), along with beef and venison. Hardy fare...

Hi Shaggy and Mrs Eel...a Morgan 4+4, wow, one of my all time favorite classic rides !!

In the late 50's I owned a '56 Austin Healey LeMans and in '60 I bought a new Lotus Super 7...a very fun ride !! :o)

Now that I'm older and more mature I drive a 400 HP '01 Ford F-150 SVT Lighning (I know, they come with 380 HP, I installed a Super Chip and a K&N air filter = 425 HP) pickup... :o)

Ford F-150 SVT Lightning

When I want a little wind on the old body, I jump on the SV650 Suzuki...old guys like to go fast too !!

Suzuki SV650 and Blackie

Speed kills... :o)

Molon Labe !!
