Well, I am going to be in the area... (I'm an eastcoast freeper)

I'll be in akland for about two weeks, what should I do other than visit the San Fran landmarks?

Akland?! Uh, do mean Oakland? : ) (Did you hear about this kid/guy (?) a few years ago who ended up in Aukland instead of Oakland, or something like that. It was a misunderstanding. (I don't remember the details.)

Depends what you like to do. You can check out Berzerkeley (Berkeley). You can tour the USS Hornet in Alameda. There's the Wine Country.....listen to KSFO 560 AM....hmm....thinkin'.....ideas for KIDD, anyone? : )

If you like views go to the Mountain View Cemetary (interesting place in it's own right) at the East end of Piedmont Avenue and drive to the top. Awesome view of much of the Bay Area.

Tilden Park and Inspiration Point for a view of the backside of the Berkely Hills - if you like to hike this is it.

The Exploratorium in SF is always good - at The Palace of Fine Arts.

I plan on joining Sat in SF - much as I try and stay on this side of the bridge.
