I think the Moose haters are really people who dislike blacks in power...quite simply racists who claim the victim of their racism is STUPID or DUMB and DESERVES the distain...similar tactic the Demoncrats use on Republicans...I guess some people like to share the hatred...I think Moose is in a tough position and admire him for moving forward in an extremly tough investigation that is CONSTANTLY being secong guessed and questioned...MY PRAYERS are with Moose and his department of men and women.

Moose is in a tough position and, frankly, he hasn't handled some situations very well. This has nothing to do with race, give me a break! The same people bashing Moose, have been here praising Powell and Rice on other threads, race has nothing to do with criticism, justified or not, of Moose.

I agree...Moose is in a very tough position. There are a lot of things about this case that we are prob not being told. Moose is not stupid. He comes across as organized...and in control. The sniper is still one step ahead of them...this won't be the case forever. Everyone better be praying for Moose and the task force...

I think you have an unfortunate chip on your shoulder. I don't like Moose because I think he's been incredibly unprofessional many times during this entire thing. It has NOTHING to do with his skin color. Your remark is insulting.

I don't like people who take advantage of their situation, believing they won't be held accountable, because they're a minority. What do you think would have happened to a white male who made the "If you want the Washington Post to take over this investigation..." outburst? If you really don't see the outrageously negative traits of Moose - you've got a serious problem. I commend the FReepers who are bold and honest enough to criticize the laughable things he's done. The "r" word doesn't have the power as a weapon that it used to!

Two can play that game...I think you believe that all the people who are criticizing Moose are racists...because you don't see black people as equals and must be given "special treatment".

Listen....if Moose was a fat white southern drawlin sheriff, you can bet we'd be raggin' on him 'bout his yups and sure nuffs. Moose happens to be a guy who had some issues at his last job in Oregon, and was summarily moved laterally to another equal position in Maryland. Okay, his ebonics don't help matters...but even making fun of that is NOT racist....mean maybe...but NOT racist.

Look, I live in the area where these shootings are taking place. People here are scared to walk to their cars in parking lots, and buying gas has become a real test of courage. I don't care if Moose is purple, he is a common idiot. His grammar is atrocious for someone in the high- profile position he's in. I think the least citizens can expect out of a Chief of Police is the capacity to pronounce common words correctly and put his sentences together in a fairly educated way. Moose is a laughingstock-and that certainly shouldn't make me a racist for saying so.
