Then, why, if the FBI knows about these messages, are they taking the trouble to go to Cuba and talk to captured AQ about the sniper M.O.?

Also, most LEO agree that this is at least a 2 man team and that it's hard to keep a 2 man team quiet and undiscovered for this long.
