The photos above currently on the Drudge site concern me. I followed the link and the article clearly stated that nobody was arrested last night.
Why then, do we have drivers of white vans, innocent civilians, evidently being pulled out vans at gunpoint and treated like dangerous criminals? One photo shows a man on the ground, evidently in handcuffs, with police officers standing over him as though they have just captured Whitey Bulger. When I first saw the photo, I figured the man was obviously a wanted criminal that police just so happened to come across during their search. But since there were no arrests last night, this man was obviously released and was no criminal after all.
The other photo shows a man by another white van with his hands in the air and a police officer has a gun drawn on him. Again, this was evidently just another innocent civilian who had the misfortune to be driving a white van on I-95 last night.
Now I understand the need for these roadblocks and for the police to be very thorough in their search for the sniper(s). But I cannot see the point of innocent people dragged out of their vehicles at gunpoint with no pretext other than the fact that they happen to be driving a white van.
Now maybe somebody here has an explanation why these two individuals were treated like criminals. Maybe they tried to evade the police or maybe they were driving stolen vans. But again, there were no arrests made last night. So what is the deal with our citizens being treated like Jesse James just for driving a white van?
That's just something you made up.
It is my understanding that this shooter has not let any one get a description of him and they do not have any real idea of what he looks like. If I am wrong, please correct me.
And if the LE does not have a sighting on this shooter- all possibilities should be explored with the white van drivers.
Maybe the tactics are to be "window dressing " to some degree but if they did nothing, all the anti-LE's would have a field day ( as they appear to be having on this thread).
You insulted her in the beginning of this little confrontation.
I personally don't give a flying sex act what you are insulted by!
I'm sure Cobbie is changing his address as we speak. </ extreme sarcasm>
I said: 3. never, ever 'smart mouth' the cop
And you said: Please define for the benefit of us serfs, so we know how to properly address our "betters".
The police are not your "betters" - however, to answer your question, a person can avoid a confrontation by not threatening or abusing the officer, verbally or otherwise.
I'm sure COB1 is shaking in his boots...
I haven't seen anything yet that would give me cause to worry.
You've got a one-track mind about vice stings.
Did you get busted recently?
For soliciting or accepting solicitation?

How do the police know the drivers are innocent? How do they know that the driver isn't the sniper? What would you have them do? You know, I would cooperate with the police totally. If that is a problem for you, so be it.

But YOU said:
No lady would ever consider someone guilty until they prove their innocence.
All I'm asking is did she actually say that, or did you make it up?
If she said those actual words, you surely can produce them, right?
Perhaps you're the one out of step.
Perhaps she needs to understand the meaning of "innocent unless proven guilty".
We've already been over this part at least once: that ONLY applies in a court of law.
Is the search legitimate? Witnesses tainted by media coverage who see "speeding white vans" are a poor justification. That combined with the fact that the shooter himself is unlikely to use such a vehicle due to the media coverage. These searches are a charade and everyone knows it.
Second, if it so important to catch falling down drunks and/or combative people, why not put up roadblocks on every highway, every night?
No matter how much you wish it so, the definition of "lady" is not "A woman who agrees with PatrioticAmerican."
You have distorted her position, compared her to a hooker, and now you want to lecture us on who deserves respect? Obviously you have no class, but learning when to shut up is within your grasp, I hope.
