The moment we respond to terrorism by modifying our foreign policies, our demestic policies, or even our way of life, we have lost not only the battle, but the war, and our ability to self-govern.
From that point on, any a$$hole with an issue and no fear of death, who wants us to change something we're doing, will simply blow themselves (and a bus, a building...name it) up to get it done.
And the thing is, that the moment that we change something to appease one group, we will be targeted by another one.
You can just change our name to "Pavlov's Nation" from then on.
The best way to deal with this is to hit back. Hit back ruthlessly and violently.
Hit them so hard that they will think not only twice, but three, fourm, five, and six times before doing anything to us again.
They kill our families, they forfeit the lives of theirs.
Sounds good but don't hold your breath for anything of this sort. My bet is that policies WILL be moderated first before resorting to widespread retribution attempts.

That's all fine and good. But how do you know this is Mid Eastern terrorist types?
Now, it may very well be, but how do you know until the bad guy/guys are caught?
And something else many seem to be forgetting.
These fanatic's and their fanatic religion are more important than their families, wife's, daughter's etc. It's more important than life itself!
They are driven by fanaticism. They don't give a damn if you or the evil US government wipes out their entire family, as their religion and after life are much more important. These people are like zombies.
I know this all too well, as some of these people have told me right to my face. And they are not kidding. And to prove this, look no further than the insane images of 911......
I would add however, if these bombings, and attacks, and shootings continue, and it is proven that the perps are Mid Eastern types, there is only one way to deal with these people, and it is not tit for tat, eye for an eye. That just don't work! Ask those in Israel. They will tell you.
My way would be very ugle, barbaric and brutal beyond belief, but very effective. I would be civil however. I would give our enemy nations one warning. That's it.
